Customer Insights

What People Say

Most Liked

Customers love the fried chicken, often touted as the best in Hagerstown. Hot, crispy, and bursting with flavor, it makes for a satisfying meal any day of the week.

The variety of hearty sandwiches, especially the subs, earns significant praise. Thickly layered with fresh ingredients, they deliver quality in every bite.

The casual and welcoming vibe of the place creates a sense of community. Friendly staff members make each visit feel special and personal, enhancing the overall experience.

Kiosk ordering adds a modern touch, allowing diners to place orders quickly and efficiently, streamlining busy lunch hours. Plus, the affordability of the menu makes it accessible for everyone, ensuring good food doesn’t break the bank.

Most Disliked

Some patrons mention that peak hours, especially on Fridays, can be hectic and crowded. This leads to longer wait times, which can test some diners' patience, particularly during lunch or dinner rushes.

A few customers have pointed out that while the food quality is excellent, they wish there were more space inside, as seating options can get limited during busy times.

The touch-screen kiosks, while convenient, have drawn a bit of critique for occasional technical glitches. Customers would welcome additional kiosks to streamline ordering during peak hours.

On occasion, diners have expressed a desire for more variety in menu offerings, especially for those with specific dietary restrictions. Adding more vegetarian or vegan options could improve the appeal for a broader audience.

Byers has come a long way in terms of food in the last few years. They have the best fried chicken in town! The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. They now have kiosks to order food so it makes your visit quick and easy. I’m highly impressed with the way they have advanced over the years.

We had not been in years, and my boyfriend and I got subs for lunch. They were the best subs we have ever had. They were so thick, and just the best ingredients. I got an all american sub and he got a club, and both of us devoured them. The staff was very friendly and even laughed with us a little. They were Friday-lunchtime busy, but still courteous and thanked us for coming in. I work close by so I will add this into my regular rotation! Everything was exceptionally good! I might go back for dinner!

Nice selection of food and snacks at good prices. I like that the bagels for the sandwiches are thin, much easier to bite and chew while still being filling and getting that bagel flavor. They have a touch screen for ordering, tho could use having two of them.

I come for the food! Chicken livers, green beans, chicken noodle soup, the best comfort foods done conveniently and like home.

They are one of three MD lottery XCAP retailers in Hagerstown. I used them to redeem my winning scratch card. They were friendly and got me on my way in minutes. Seemed like a reasonably safe area for such things.

It's pretty good there I mean the prices are a little bit high but you got to expect that because you know it's a convenience store it's not the grocery store really it's kind of like my mom's store down in Sharpsburg, Battleview Market. It's been the same problem down there and it was on the fact that whoever the Pepsi driver is I don't know if they're the same person on that route or not but if you guys at buyers read this please for the love of God tell your Pepsi driver to keep the pure leaf sweet tea out of the sun and needs to come in directly from the truck because the last couple of times that it's tasted like ass and I can't bring it back of course cuz it's still got a good date on it but it's what happens especially if it was cold then got warm then got sat outside things got cold again makes it nasty so please don't let him do that because we had to end up telling management and they're the ones that finally got him to do it I guess he was going to lose his job if he did because he would not do it no matter how many times I asked him to please do it please give them aside but he always had two leave him suck the outside while you got other stuff inside I never understood I mean I thought it was because he had to put something somewhere first but no it just did that I think that pissed me off maybe I don't know I really don't. Anyway but other than that I have never ever had hey problem in there and I think if I would take my tea back and it would maybe even they might even be able to smell it but I just all drank it and I'll suffer Because I don't like putting the people in the register on the spot especially if they're not managers and they don't know and they got to ask somebody and go through all of that I just know how they feel and how I feel and it's just it's almost worth it but I'll just drink it. Lol.
